Dr. Grace Simco interviewed Nerissa Boggan, author of My Dog Mayo and My Nose

While serving as an invited speaker at WDSS 2026 in Baltimore, Dr. Grace Simco connected with leading professionals dedicated to airway and sleep health, nasal breathing and mouth breathing in children. She interviewed author Melissa Boggan about helping children and families understand the importance of nasal breathing through her book, My Dog Mayo and My Nose.

Their conversation explored early airway awareness, craniofacial development, teeth grinding, and the importance of recognizing breathing concerns during childhood. Educating families early can encourage timely evaluation and interdisciplinary collaboration among orthodontists, pediatricians, ENTs, sleep specialists, and myofunctional therapists.

This conversation reflects Dr. Grace’s commitment to advancing airway-focused orthodontics through education, early recognition, and collaborative patient care.
